Re: I want to become a horror writer someday.

I wouldn't worry about it... but you should put a warning or something on it. Just in case. I don't know who would plagarize your stories, unless it is some high schooler who really wants to be killed academically. I don't have much experience, however. Just my thoughts.

Re: comics...

There is this really old series that involves the idea of a distopian future. There are bands that roam around in it, and the cause was the nuclear holocaust. I can't remember the name of it. It had a really cool part in it about the subways and sewer systems catching the radiation. I loved it! ^.^

Re: Edgar Allen Poe

A lot of stories were like that... just a 'remake' of someone elses stories. Think of most horror movies. However, I really enjoyed Poe's raven more than Dickens... I thought he was right about the speaking part.

All those presented on the first-ish comment were amazing! The alien one was epic... the God on was even better.

Edgar Allen Poe

His writings are so amazing.... I absolutely adore him. I thought this may be a great space to discuss some of his writings... and to promote his works to others.

My favorite in the POEm, the Raven.... quoth the raven, nevermore. beautiful.

Re: I want to become a horror writer someday.

The thing about all these ideas is that, yes they are overdone, they have so much room for improvement. Add a twist, make the least likely person the villian.... and there you go! That is why movies are remade... to give them someones personal touch.

That was an interesting story... A bit simplistic, but really cool. Sci-Fi-ish.... I bet kids really love the story
