Re: Merry Christmas 2025

I don't know how bad the storm was in your area, but we got hit hard.

It started snowing around 4am on Sun. morning, and it didn't stop until after 5pm. There was over 2 feet of snow when it finally stopped. I usually don't go to the restaurant on Sun. but I started getting text messages from some ...

Re: Catching up

The employees at the restaurant already know that when my old boss comes in his meal is always on the house, and I'll make sure that the staff at the diner always does that for Marcelo as well.

I do like the thought of giving him a retirement gift, but I really don't know him that well, though I ...

Re: Little Halloween this Friday.

I think that you get more energized when you have more activities piled up.

Believe me, these kids keep me young, and I'm thankful for that.

Murf - If anybody was stupid enough to mess with Halloween when I was a kid, then we would have vandalized the whole town for it. Obviously, as a adult ...

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

Damn, it got cold here.

By the way, my wife baked both types of your cranberry orange bread today, one using your recipe, the other straight from the website with nuts. They both tasted great, my wife preferred your recipe, but I like the one with nuts better. As usual, the girls were indecisive ...

Re: Little Halloween this Friday.

Oh man, that means that Halloween is going to be on a Sunday next year. You know what that means right? Like last year, we celebrated for the whole Halloweekend with parties, sleepovers, and going to events, and I'm going to have to do that again this year and next year too... I don't know if I'll ...

Re: Halloween.Com Members Birthday!

Nobody ever throws me parties, or remembers my birthday. :(

Even my mother forgets my birthday sometimes.

My wife is the only person that remembers, so at least I get hugs and kisses from her. :D

Re: Catching up

Believe me, having a restaurant is very useful for large family gatherings, my younger sister had her wedding reception here, and we had Thanksgiving here one year because we wanted to invite as many family members as possible that year and my mother's house wouldn't have held everybody. While my ...

Re: Little Halloween this Friday.

Looking ahead at the calendar it looks like there's going to be a Little Halloween next month, so I just wanted to let everybody know. I'm going to have a party for the kids, and since Valentines day is the next day I'm thinking of making it a scary Valentines themed party like My Bloody Valentine ...

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

Hopefully it will be a safe commute to and from work for him and everybody else.

The snow has already melted here and the weather is warm again, but now they say that we're going to get hit with another snowstorm this Sun.

*sigh*

Here we go again.

Re: Catching up

Thanks Murf. :)

Well, I'm now the owner of a 50s diner and malt shop... YAY! :D

I'm very excited about this new chapter, and I'm looking forward to the journey ahead. My wife loves the diner, but she's worried that I'm taking on too much responsibility, but she didn't know me when I was a ...

Re: Merry Christmas 2025

I know what that's like when you go into a building for a few hours and come out only to be greeted by a snowstorm, it's both frustrating and magical at the same time. That happens frequently around here, it's inconvenient when you have to spend a hour digging your car out of the snow, and then ...

Re: Catching up

My wife and I were recently contacted by a good friend that we know in the restaurant business, and he let us know that a friend of his was retiring and looking to sell his business. He owns a beautifully decorated nostalgic 50s diner with classic checkered floor, pink walls, 20 booths, a wrap ...
