Trick with your treat

Post by putrid » Mon May 12, 2008 10:11 pm

I'm sure there are some hilarious stories out there about past halloweens especially by the yard haunters. so lets share them!!!
I'll go first

My first year to yard haunt was 2005. so I totally did my whole yard up. gravestones, lifesize zombies, black lights, fog machines etc. My wife and I are sitting by the front door to hand out candy. I had spent the whole day preparing the yard with my last minute touch ups and hadn't had a chance to really eat dinner so my wife ordered pizza rolls from our local pizza place. after a couple my wife ate halfe of one and said she was full. so the genius that I was. didn't want pizza just laying around so I told her. "just wrap it up in a napkin and put it in our reserve candy bag . I'll throw it away later." she does this and I totally forget about it. about an hour later we are getting hit pretty hard. lots of kids are comming. I run out of candy. so I grab the reserve candy and just start handing it out. Now I specifically remember these three teens comming up. none of them dressed up. so I of course ask them what they are supposed to be. they give me some smart response so I'm just like whatever. I reach into the bag and and put some candy into each of thier bags. one of them though feels like it was candy outside of the bag. At that point I don't care to much. but later that night when I am cleaning up my wife says where's the pizza, I'll throw it away. I look in and beside the bag the only thing I find is the napkin we wrapped it in....... Least to say I wish I could've been a fly on the wall when those teens poured out thier candy and found a half eaten pizza roll.

Honestly I would rather get pizza than candy. What a lucky kid 8)

My friend dresses up like a witch with heavy make-up and sits on her porch. someone else polices the front yard and tells TOTers to get candy from the witches bowl (she really looks like a manequin in her make up).

If the kids aren't too little she waits until they're very close and then lets out a cackle.

The parents invariably laugh their butts off and some most of the kids scream.

Ah, good times.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

my neighbor did that for a couple years, and then last year just put a dummy up in the same spot. it was hilarious because every one was afraid to go near it.
