Hey Sue, thanks....My wife bought a bunch of silver ornaments last year, I'll post a pic after she and the kids have it all decorated.

the cat is a she, her and her sister are a year old this month so this is her first tree, she's very interested in it :)

time to take down the ole tree :( today will be a sad day
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Yeah, we're taking it down next weekend, along with the rest of the indoor stuff.

The outside lights will stay until some sunny day...

Yes. We need something to break through the gloom here, too.
Nearly 12 days in a row with little to no sun. I'm about to break down and buy one of those lamps that simulate sunshine!

I bought one of those grow lightbulbs for a houseplant in my room a few years ago, and I'll tell you... Sitting under it for an hour or so in the winter actually makes me feel better. It's probably only psychological, but even if it is, the desired result is the same.

And NO, Adrian, before you ask..... It is a PERFECTLY LEGAL houseplant.....

Too pricey and too much UV light for me. My pale skin burns too easily.

Aww we leave ours up till New Years day.
That's how I like to do it, leave the Christmas stuff up until after New Years. After all, I think of New Years as Christmas part II, don't ask me why, I think it's because it just doesn't feel like the Holiday Season has ended until January 2nd. A lot of people leave their outdoor decorations up through New Years as well. Sure the big feast has ended, and the opening presents, but the celebrating hasn't, and New Years follows right after Christmas so close that it's almost like they're part of the same holiday. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, you get it.
Of course, it'll be up to my grandma how long we leave our tree up, but my little tree in my room is staying up at least until then.
I'd love to move out right after Christmas too when I get my own place, that way I can get a tree for my new home at 50% off before they all run out. I have one more year of college to get through first, then it's time for the big job hunt to land a Medical Administrative Job. No way I'm going to work as a cashier forever.
This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...
