I got 2 pumpkins last Thursday night, and they are sitting on the dining room table. We are going to make pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving dinner. :D

I still have one leftover from Halloween sitting on my desk.

I might carve a bowl out of it for Thanksgiving.

There isn't a pumpkin to be had anywhere where I live. The grocery store has canned pumpkins for making pies, but that's it.

No more pumpkins in Indiana, either. :(
I can still get gourds, though. I'm using them in centerpieces.

Mine is still as solid as it was when I bought it, almost 2 months ago.

I'm kicking myeslf, because I was originaly planning on saving one of my jack o'lantern pumpkins to use for Thanksgiving, and decided that I could get another, and carved it up anyway. Now I wish I hadn't done that, as it was a really nice, very "Fall" looking pumpkin.

Next year I'll know better.

My bro bought about a hundred bucks worth of pumpkins for some bizarre reason, and then didn't carve any of them. So I'll just go steal some from him.

I would have had half of them carved by mid October, myself. But he's right. A fresh, uncarved pumpkin really does add a nice touch to a Thanksgiving center piece.

So, it is genetic.

You might have a point there. However, my niece and I are the only major Halloween enthuriasts in our family. She also loves to decorate for both Halloween and Thanksgiving using pumpkins. Unlike me, however, she managed to save a really nice one for the Thanksgiving center piece.

A couple of days ago, I cut the pumpkins to let my aunt get stuffs out and bring home. And, yesterday I carve both pumpkins the same old way like eyes, nose and mouth with few teeth. I put the candles on them and put on the dining room table last night, so I am going to lit the candles again tonight. :D

What, liking Halloween? Or do you mean bizarre behavior? Or are you referring to petty crime?
