I just got this!

This is a lot of fun. Great postcard prints, ephemera and the like.
I even thought about Catzilla when I first saw this. He mentioned that he likes that Victorian type art work..... well this has LOTS of it!

In it, there's even a pic of a postcard that has a pumpkin headed character who holds a stricking resemblance to Cadaverino's first avatar.
The art is credited to an H. B. Griggs but I found little more about him on the net.

Anyway, anyone who has an appreciation for antique Halloween art and customs will LOVE this book!

Indeed a very charming book, with a sequel by the same author: Halloween Merrymaking: An Illustrated Celebration Of Fun, Food, And Frolics From Halloweens Past.
