I honestly haven't seen that many either. I remember as a kid almost every sitcom would have their own Halloween episode. I don't see as many new shows that still do it and very rarely see those episodes of the older shows. I figured they'd be all over the place right now.

Anybody else seen any? Maybe I'm just missing them?

Sadly, it really does appear that the tv stations just don't see Halloween as a big deal any more. You do see alittle Halloween spirit on some of the stations that feature some of the old classic tv shows, but not very often. What really annoys me, is I've seen a whole bunch of Christmas tv show episodes rerun numerous times during the months of May and June. Last July, one of the major cable stations had a "Christmas in July" week. An ENTIRE WEEK dedicated to Christmas themed shows, but hardly anything to do with Halloween in October.

Go figure.

Christmas In July is on TBS. It's weird but I enjoy watching those shows during summer any way so no biggie.

On a Halloween note, do you notice that there are/were a lot of paranormal shows that have come and gone, but now reside on Chiller, Sci-Fi etc, on cable?

I'm enjoying a lot of these on reruns, but I never paid attention to then on first-run, so they're new to me!

Yes, I have noticed that. I LOVe the show titled "Haunted History," because it gives more details into the real historical basis for the ghost story that came out of it. They did a FABULOUS story about Salem Mass.

As for the Christmas in July thing, I suppose it's because I'm a staunch traditionalist that causes my annoyance at seeing Christmas shows in the Summer time, but that isn't allways true. Way back in the Summer of 1979, I had just graduated from high school and was working my first full time job./ It was Friday night, the middle of July. and the thermometer read 96 degrees, Our house had central air, but my folks were a little hard up for money back then, so they had to shut it off at night time. It was about 1 or 2 in the morning when one of our local independent tv stations (In those days, it was over the air broadcast and channel dials on the tvs) broadcast the movie "It's a Wonderful Life," starring James Steward. That was the very first time I ever saw that movie, and I really loved it. Now a days I watch it every December, usualy on the 2nd Sunday of Advent. I also watcfh other Christmas specials in December. But the thing is, I have most of them on VHS or DVD, so I can watch them any time I feel like it. I don't watch the Christmas specials in the Summer time, but I have been known to pull out "IT's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" on ocassion and watch.

It's funny you mention Christmas Vacation. I've seen that movie on cable numerous times in the last few weeks. Kind of random. Love the movie though.

I love all those Christmas movies, IN DECEMBER. But if others like then in the off-season, that's okay too. After all, I celebrate Halloween year round, and I also play around with fireworks year round, so to each his own.
