Halloween party movies?
I'm hosting a mini-party for 3 other people and we want to watch a Halloween movie. I am known amongst my friends for being a scary movie fanatic, so they asked me to choose the movie. Two of my friends get scared easily but still like sorta scary movies. I was wondering, do you know any scary movies that aren't too scary, but nothing like, Corpse Bride or the Great Pumpkin. Suggestions?

Creepshow is not too scary and it's kind of comical.
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

I'll be sure to check it out. I wanted to see the new prom night movie (I know not very Halloween-y but whatever) but my friend will probably pee her pants if she watches that.

If you have access to some of the old Universal monster classics like 'Dracula" or "The Wolf Man," those are not too scary.

The remake of "Prom Night" isn't too scary, they don't actually show any blood and guts or anyone being murdered. It's not bad as it has a story to it and a fair amount of character development.

I know I've beaten this one to death (all puns intended) but if blood isn't a big issue I suggest Shaun Of The Dead.
It's a comedy spoof of zombie movies and is the funniest/scariest movie ever.
Young Frankenstein is a classic as well with absolutely no violence, if that is more along the lines of what you had in mind.

Not very scary movies... I would recommend some of the following lists below:
Return of the Living Dead
The Craft
The Wicker Man (classic) - not remake!
The Monster Squad
Saturday The 14th
Saturday The 14th Strikes Back

If the mode de jour for your party skews female ,I would also reccommend Practical Magic.

Wow, thanks everyone! I have many ideas for movies that I'll screen (an excuse to watch movies) and eventually decide.

How about the remake of "The Haunting." There are a couple of thrills and chilld in that movie, but the ghosts, for the most part, are sort of cute and cuddly.

how about Children of the Corn? or the Langaleers <-----spelling.... or the Tommy Knockers
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!
