Grrrr!

This is our second year party and we really wanted it to go well this year. My girlfriend and I are going to decorate the hell out of the place, and one of my girlfriend's is going to bring her own kids (4-8 yrs old).

Jeez! We are going to invite a reasopnable amount of people and set the start time for 10 PM. Most of them don't have kids, except one! But we did mention that it was adult party, and there would be drinking, chatting, cussing, laughing, eating, watching movies, etc...

So does anyone want to share the tiops with me? And, I don't mean to dislike children! :?:

well, maybe you can set aside a room for the kids, with a tv and some treats, and set in an old halloween disney movie, if they get tired, which they probably will, put an air mattress bed in the room so they can sleep if they get tired... thats all i got

I understand that for some people with kids it's hard to find a babysitter, etc. but if it's an adult party then there just shouldn't be children. I'm not trying to sound inconsiderate or anything but I'd tell her just not to come.

But if it's not that big of a deal to you, then yeah the kids room would be fine :D

Decorate a room with decorations that are not scary and have kids Halloween movies playing and Halloween toys for kids who do not want to watch the movies.

If you are going to have a kids room, you could hire a babysitter or two to watch them so you dont have worry about the kids to much.

yea that would be a good idea,,, just most teens cant stay babysitting that late, so you might have to hire an older one, and little more exspensive

Ah yes, the kid dilemma.
My wife and I have a Halloween party every year for our adults friends.
Here's how we deal with the kids.
Everyone usually takes their children trick or treating first.
That ends no later than 9 pm, and earlier for most.
When the adults arrive at our party, they bring their kids with them.
What we do is hire three babysitters who take the chidren into our daughters playroom and provide them with entertainment while we so called adults do our thing. There are movies, snacks, games, etc,.
The reason we have separate areas for the kids and adults is that we make alcoholic beverages available for those who are old enough, and though nobody ever gets out of hand, I'm not sure having children mingling with the adults in that situation is appropriate. The babysitters stay all night with the kids (yes it's kind of expensive, but this is Halloween we're talking about), along with everyone else. Anyone who drinks has to stay over. That's the rule. No way am I serving alcohol to somebody and then letting them drive, let alone with their kids.
