those queen of hearts are B.A.
Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Thanks so much for all those links Whitelighter! Those Queen makeup ideas are killer! I'd love to have my makeup done like that but unfortunatly since I'm on duty crew (where I am obligated to go to each and every fire/paramedic call) halloween night, I can't have too much stuff on...the last thing I need to do is scare the patient haha :P But I'm definatly going to draw/temporary tattoo some kind of heart design on my upper cheek and other areas like the 4th link. Also, thanks so much for the TAPS link...I'm going to order a shirt right now!! :mrgreen:

My wife was the Queen of Hearts last year and we found a flamingo croquet mallet which was awesome. I can't seem to find it for sale online anywhere other than ebay anymore though.

I had a QoH costume last year and it's probably my favorite costume. The slutty costumes kill me (ahhhh!!!) so I came up with a design that was a little more fantastical but still girly.

This is probably the best picture I have and the reason why I'll most likey wear it again this year. It was so awesome and I MUST have better pictures this year.

you look good i see you went with the flamingo too...it does seem that the female version of every costume is slutty which i'm sure not every woman wants to wear. My wife is a junior high\high school librarian and as such needs a PG costume to wear to work(she doesn't have to but will of course!!)

I love the costume! The fur around the neck definatly adds to it! It does seem like every female costume that's out there is slutty eh? That's the exact reason why I design my costumes because that way they are practical for going to calls with the fire department but also are cute and feminine :)

That really sucks that you are on call Halloween night. Anyway, if you are going to be the Queen of Hearts I would recommend visiting some Renaissance Faires, they have stuff you might be able to use. They sell good accessories such as scepters. You could even dress up as the Queen of Hearts when you go to a Renaissance Faire.

Okay so here is a much needed update...I talked to my friend (the one who was going to be Alice from Alice in Wonderland) and we decided that instead, she is going to be an Angel and I'm going to be a devil :D

I'm pretty excited and will post pics ASAP! :P
