Halloween Discussion Forums, Costumes, Horror!

OK I have a daughter who is 14. Her and her friend want 2 dress up as something easy. The want 2 be something cute but I won't allow them to be to reveling. Do you ahve any ideas??? Homemade costumes would be nice but then again they are teenagers. Or websites with ideas/costumes

I am a teen so i would no, let them be what they want to be with in reason bc they are older and me personally i always want to choose my costume BUT then again my mother would freak if i wore something showing so that is what i mean in with in reason u know so let them pick what they want but nothing unappropiate.

Okay, pirates...this year with Depp and Knightley, it's a lead pipe cinch. the movie was so popular, that halloween will look like the Spanish Main. Old satin shirts, period belts, long pleated skirts for the pirate queens, and you're home free..get some hats, eye patches, flintlock pistols and swords from the costume department, and you are AWAY...You could even go whole HOG and have 'em cart around a chest to stick their Halloween loot in..

I, too, was going to suggest pirates...easy, cheap and fun to wear!

In the 80s I always went as a punk rocker or madonna. It was so easy and cheap to pick stuff up to wear. I wouldn't know what to do nowadays, especially with icky people like Paris Hilton being famous. I wouls not let my teen dress like her! Besides, she might fet cold with the small amount of clothing that hilton wears. Ewwwww!

still it would be fun putting on makeup to make the eye REALLY hang down..

OR THE LILITH GOTHIC FAIRY SAME THING GOES WITH THIS ONE. I MYSELF AM THINKING ABOUT WEARING ONE OF THOSE! Well, I was going to suggest Jay and Silent BOb, but since they are girls, how about Paris and Nicole? They don't have to dress skanky, just like get them a purse and put a stuffed dog in them, and have them wear sunglasses and dye there hair blonde.

lady lestat,s idea is great but instead of dyeing their hair, if it's not already blonde, they can wear wigs!

What about going as combination devil-angels. I think they call them heavenly devils. It's kind of fun for teens and not revealing at all.

They can also go as good witches - those are always cute.

How 'bout they could carry around shopping bags, drive the car their parents bought for them, talk on a cell phone all day long, and listen to really crappy music. When someone asks them, "What are you supposed to be?" They could confidentally answer "Teenagers!"
