Post Past Costumes

Post by jadewik » Wed Jun 18, 2008 7:06 pm

People are always excited to talk about next year, but I want to know what costumes you wore in previous years and the reactions you got from other people. Post a pic if you have one! =)

Here are some of mine:
Image
This is my Grim Reaper costume. I wore this in college and scared 200 lb line-backers with it. Yay! It's one of my favourite costumes.

Image
This was my witch costume in 2006... can't see it very well in this shot, but it's my fave photo from that year.

Image
It was Persians for us in 2007. Hubby picked the theme.... Drove me nuts too. I barely finished sewing the danged costume before Halloween!

Image
This was hubby in his Persian costume. =)

At work last year the theme was dress as your favorite TV or movie character.

Some guy dressed like a 'pimp' won first prize, can you believe that?!

There were a few folks who didn't know who I was supposed to be. Can you believe THAT!?!

I scrolled down a little and only saw your head and was like "What the hell is he?" Then I scrolled down and saw the rest of the picture and was like "Oh Charlie Brown! How can anyone not guess that?".

I was just as surprised as you are, RDM.

You would have to have been raised in a cave not to have the slightest idea who Charlie Brown is. :?:

That brings to mind a family that lived on our street when I was growing up.

Hard-core fundamentalists (not that there is anything wrong with that...) who didn't let their kids celebrate Halloween or Christmas because it was somehow evil.

Those kids were so messed up that they didn't know how to relate to other kids at school, and were picked on mercilessly.

http://hauntforum.com/showthread.php?t= ... plasterlus it was totally easy to put together.

All I had to add was the shirt, which coat $10 at Costco plus $5 for fabric paint and viola, Instant CB (no, I don't have a swirly thing on my forehead, it was make-up).

I think the people at the party knew who Charlie Brown was. They just did not see him in your costume.

I don't know either.

I was copying & pasting in a crafting thread and obviously my pasting was getting ahead of my 'submit'-ing.

But go to that link any way. There are instructions for a very cool wall decorating efect.

I like the headless woman costume :) Not that I would wear it. I'm a boy. :P

I don't have any pictures so I can tell you. I was a grey Werewolf complete with long black coat, hairy hands, and all black clothes. I looked really good IMO. My friend was more or less the same, but he was a brown Werewolf with a shorter coat.
