What did you dress up as this year?

Post by GucciGirl » Tue Nov 04, 2008 5:53 pm

I was Lady Deathstrike from XMen 2.

I made the claws out of window blinds, cutting them so that they were long and sharp-looking, then spray painted them with metallic silver paint. Then I got elastic waistband material and cut/sewed them into little loops that I could put on my fingers. Then superglued the blinds to the loops! It worked really good cause it's impossible to do ANYTHING with thoses big claws on, so it's good that they were easy to take on and off.

Then I got the black leather pants and jacket, and I already had some boots that I could wear. Then got a black long straight hair wig and cut the bangs so I could do her hair exactly like in the movie.

The finishing touch were the contacts I got. They're called Manson, and they are white with a black edge on them. It looked super cool!!! So I had those same sort of other-wordly light eyes like she had in the movie. Turned out pretty good, but some people didn't know who I was!!!

I was Death Clown. A mix of the grim reaper and an evil clown. I had a white face, a big red nose, and blood dripping down my face. I wore all black and had a black hooded cape and carried a sythe. I also had bloody white gloves for an extra gory effect!
Halloween wraps fear in innocence,
As though it were a slightly sour sweet.
Let terror, then, be turned into a treat...

We went low-key on costumes this year and spent more on props...
