What do you like better for your horror do you want a lot of blood and gore from violence or would you rather have a lot of creepy suspense and cat jumping out scares.

Suspense and an eerie atmosphere for me.

I prefer suspense as well. For me, less is usually more because my imagination can certainly make up for it. I despise anything with unnecessary gore. I understand that it comes with the territory with zombies, werewolves, and vampires. But movies like Saw or Hostel or any of those other slasher/torture pics make me sick and I won't watch them.

At the risk of sounding too diplomatic, I like a balanced marriage between gore and suspense. A suspenseful build up makes a gory payoff even better.

Definitely suspense. Gore is overused.

Creepiness and suspense, with lots of jumpy-outties and scary sound effects ala the 1963 version of "The Haunting". Although I like the really weird or archaic stuff too, like the 1922 "Haxan" or the 1920 "The Golem". The imagery in "Haxan" is so bizarre.

Suspense. It was one of the reasons Kolchak was such a neat show back in 1974-75. Kolchak was as clumsy as a two year old and all those monsters were just waiting to get him, but they never did!
