OK, so I thought I wouldn't have time to do it again this year because of my new job...
And the reality is this: I don't have much time for this endeavor, but also can't resist...
So I'll watch what movies I can over the next month and report what's going on...
Hope you all have a happy October and Halloween season

Today, I'm watching one of my all-time favorite classic films...
House on Haunted Hill (1959) with horror legend Vincent Price...
This time I have rented a digital version hosted by Lon Midnight

Oh, I saw they were doing that in Nashville, too. I probably won't go, as I have it on DVD (and I'm old enough to have seen it in theaters when it was new).
The DVD special features make the point that this film was really Gene Wilder's baby. It was his idea, and he wrote the first script. Mel Brooks was brought on board because he'd had a big hit with Blazing Saddles, and the studio wanted a big name to associate with the film. It was always promoted as a Mel Brooks comedy, but it was Wilder's more than Brooks'.

Last night I watched Boo! A Madea Halloween
It had a few funny jokes, but don't waste your money...
This was my first Tyler Perry movie--not too impressed...
Very silly and too many racial stereotypes for my liking
