I went to see "It: Chapter 2" on Friday night, and was disappointed to be quite frank. The film was very slow moving, and way too long. The bad news, is that Hollywood has totally forgotten how to make a fright film, and the "It" story was written by Stephen King, one of my favorite horror writers. Additionally, it was low key lighting, typical of most horror movies of today, and to boot, the projector in the theatre I went to, needed a new lamp as the image on the screen was so faint it was very difficult to watch the film. Perhaps that's why I thought it was low key lighting. However, the story could have been better told and more effective in a shorter film. "It Chapter 2" was a little over 2 hours long. I think an hour and a half max could have told the story better, and it would have kept the movie from being so slow moving.

Doing pretty well, thanks for asking. Still alive and kicking and gearing up for Halloween!

Thanks for the Freeform link. It was fun to read their list. I own many of those movies. Some I don't think of as Halloween movies, though. Willie Wonka? Mrs. Doubtfire?

We own League on DVD. I don't believe I've seen Van Helsing.

Van Helsing is part-horror, part-action film, a homage to the old Universal movie monsters, starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale. It's a fun film--I enjoy watching during Halloween season.
