Tell us what you think of it. That "psychological thriller" description piques my interest in Speak No Evil.
I've had a pretty good year. My older son moved from Columbus, OH, to Chicago, and I visited him up there in June. He loves it and wants to stay, has an apt right on Lake Michigan, but his job was a one-year gig, so he is still trying to puzzle out his future. The same could be said for my younger two, who are here at home. I guess I'll be happier if I can ever see them settled, but my own life is not bad. Two of the three accompanied me to a family reunion in NE Kentucky this summer, where my grandmother was born. Her family has lived there since the 18th century. One of my distant cousins up there recommended a narrative history to me called The Frontiersmen, all about the early settlement of that region and the Indian wars, etc. It's been my bedtime reading ever since. I'd never before considered how violent life was in that region, not all that long ago.
