Sequal to "Dracula"

I was going through my e-mail, and I came across an item from the "Creature Features" mailing list that Bram Stoker actualy wrote a sequal to his classic "Dracula," and that some time in 2009, it's going to be made into a movie.
If that's actualy trie, I would like to read the book before it actualy ends up on the big screan.

That's cool to see DRACULA remake! I hope blood and gore in it than the classic movie!
BTW, have you heard about Del Toro's Frankenstein? First, it was written in the book, then some actors are going to play in "FRANKENSTEIN" movie? Do you know anything?

This is not a remake. This is actualy a sequal to "Dracula" that Bram Stoker wrote himself.

You must be thinking of Dracula's Guest. It's actually a collection of short stories by Stoker. You can read it at Project Gutenberg, or download the epub file and read it on your iPhone or iTouch using the free Stanza program.
There's also the book 'Dracula: The Un-Dead', comes out October 13, 2009. It was co-written by Bram Stoker's great grand nephew. He based it on Stoker's characters using his original hand written notes. I remember reading there were plans to turn this novel into a movie.

i haven't really followed the "Dracula" stories but have always wanted to.. after i finish my copy of "October Dreams" (which just came in through the mail) i believe that's going to be my next topic of choice to read

I'm reading Dracula right now... again... for the umpteenth time. Frankenstein is next. I love Project Gutenberg.

which book would you refer for me to start out with since i haven't read anything really on Dracula?

I read "Dracula" years agol. I don't remember all the details, but I do think it was better then the movie, even though I loved the movies made based on that book.
I think the silent era classic "Nosferatu" is a much better rendition of what vampire lor was all about. It certainly reminded me more of how the creature was portrayed in the book.
