Sorry, not enough information from imdb.com - but in a new interview with Collider, Gary Ross, producer/writer, indicated that it has not yet found financing, a studio or a director, but he believes the project will gain some legs in the next year. He also indicated that it is not going to be a campy interpreation, but a pretty faithful adaptatin of the original classic.

As for the Creature's look, Ross said that he has not decided whether they will go the CGI route (please don't - for the sake of all of us - just don't) or have a live actor in the rubber suit.

Yes, I know so many people are tired of Hollywood's endless string of remakes :@: the expense of new ideas and writers/directors, but I like the classic monsters. Just as for me, I'd go see The Wolf Man remake, but don't mind the new Creature! :?

So, what do you think about Creature remake? Please share your thoughts here. ;)

Creature from the Black Lagoon was the first horror movie I remember loving, when I was probably four years old, and when I see it being re"imagined", and turned into a "Raging Rock Show", all I can say is, Yes! I'm usually not too big a fan of remakes (Lord knows I'm not going to pay money to see a Robert Englund-less Nightmare on Elm Street), but this I'm excited for, just because its been so long, you know? It's not like it's been ten years, more like fifty or sixty. And a rock show starring one of my favorite Hollywood monsters is enough to make me smile anyday.
