My Soul To Take (2010)

This is Wes Craven's film, and I saw a preview of it. Looks interesting. Shades of Nightmare on Elm Street, but definitely a different storyline.

I hate that is being converted to 3D, but it still looks good, though. :)

I heard it was no good movie, and the guy adviced me not to waste the $15.00 to the movie. It looks like it is a mix of Nightmare on Elm Street and Final Destination. Anyone seen it yet? I guess I have to wait until it comes out to DVD.

I do plan to see it, but I do agree about the 3D conversion. If they make it in 3D in the first place, then I'm cool with it, but when they fake it, that ruins the move. It's like colorizing anold black & white classic.

Are you planning to see it, or what? But I suggest you to save your money until it comes straight to DVD. ;)

I have to say I not only saw this at the theater, and bought it on blu-ray, trying to get into it, I was hugely disappointed in this movie. Seems like ever since Freddy vs Jason and the what seemed like the end of the Scream trilogy, he's been trying way too hard to make another Freddy who isn't Freddy, and has failed numerous times. Along with what could have been a good solid story, is the bad acting, the very slow, sleep inducing pace and the absolute lack of even a tense jump scare, its all just safe and predictable Wes Craven. Not really even a single redeemable quality about this one. Even I thought the effects were boring.

Wes still has it in him to make a great movie, he just has to find some sort of fire or real inspiration to do so again.
