My ghost dog

Post by Haunt Master » Wed May 28, 2008 4:54 pm

I missed my dog! :( He's black lab and he passed away in 2004. I had him since 1993 when he was puppy. Well, one night when I was in my bed and I woke up in the middle of late morning about 4 AM to go to the bathroom, so when I returned back to my bed... I looked at him, so I rubbed my eyes to see him clearly - He disappeared! Well, then I looked under my bed to make sure my new dog (same kind as black lab) she's still asleep. I just made sure she was doing all right. I named the old dog J.D. in 1993 and when he died from serious illness, about one month later, I adopted 8-month-old black lab and her name was Roxie, but I decided to call her J.D. again. :D Well, she's still around here with me and loves to play with me all the time!

Anyway, my house is haunted by the ghost of my old dog, he's still run there now and then... One time, my grandpa told me he heard the dog barking from up the stairs, I told him "No, she's outside!" He said, Go look and check! I went up stairs and saw nothing! That's what my grandpa saying! Must be strange! :? So, now I'm still glad to have my good dog around me! And, she always protects me all the time! 8)

Dude!

I've had similar experiences but with a cat. she was gray and white with long fur.

Every now and then I see her out of the corner of my eye in the house, usually where her food bowl used to be!

I'd rather see old pets than people.

Whoa! I would normally suggest that it is paranoia. One time I saw my grandma in the bed when she was all the way in Virginia. I blinked and she was gone. Yes, she was still alive. The point is if you miss something long enough you see things.
But don't let me tell you what you saw!
If someone else saw it then that can be somewhat convincing evidence. With an incident like that it's more of a coin toss. :?: What do you think?

The cat wasn't even my pet, it belonged to the friends I share a house with and (he, at least) claims to see her at times too.

again, I'd rather see a pet spook than dead Gramma

The gramma wasn't dead. The whole point of my speech was that I missed her enough to see her. But if you say the cat wasn't even your's, it may be a ghost.

I do believe in ghosts but I'm still a sckeptic.(forgive my spelling) I think ghosts are out there but in most cases I like to rationalize and find the simplest answer.

I agree that the very best tales are the ones with credible witnesses and multiple occurances that can't (or have not) be explained away by rational means.

Those are the spookiest.
