Jadewik, I'm so sorry your pregnancy is being difficult. I'll keep you & your baby in my prayers, too.

Re: I Have a Camera Again!!!
Well... the latest news is that I've been in the hospital since Wed. My blood pressure hit +170/100... among other issues. The docs have stabalized the high BP with medicines and they are watching everything else.
I think this March baby is going to be a Jan baby... hoping he bakes for 34 weeks ... will be 31 weeks on Mon. Keep your fingers crossed.

Praying for you and the baby, Jadewik!
There is a little girl at church who was born two months prematurely. She is adorable, cute and smart, and full of energy.

Re: I Have a Camera Again!!!
Today marks my 27th day in the hospital... and my 34th week of pregnancy. Woo! 34 weeks means this boy is finished developing his lungs and he just needs to pack on the pounds. He's 4.5 lbs right now. Lookin' good!
... Things are still in the balance. Still don't know when I'll have this baby, but it's likely I'll not be carrying him past 37 weeks (Feb 18th) if I manage to stay healthy that long.
Whew!

Thanks so much for the update! I have been thinking about you.
34 weeks is already a good long time. Your baby should be fine, whenever he comes! Just stay strong and keep your eyes on the prize!

Jadewick, I'll remember you and your baby in my prayers. Too bad such a blessed event has to be marred by sickness.
Dutchess, (getting back to the topic of this thread) I haven't bought any Kodak products since 1999. It's no suprise to me that they had to file for bankruptcy with the lousy way they treat their customers. I went on the most BEAUTIFUL road trip down old Route 66. There were haunts as well as just plain beautiful scenery. Anyway, I took along my Mamya 645 camera and 10 rolls of Kodachrome 64 slide film, because of the way Kodachrome captures natural colors. After Kodak sold me that film, they decided arbitrairly to discontinue all Kodachrome slide films and processing, and would not allow any other company to know their "secret" to their special dyes that they use in archival kodachrome. SO there were some wonderful pictures that I could never get processed because Kodak dicided that their proffits were more important then customer service.
That was the last time EVER I bought anything from Kodak again. For the rest of my photo career of shooting on film, I went with Fuji, Illford or Agfa, and when I went digital, I went with Cannon.

Re: I Have a Camera Again!!!
Born Feb 6, 2013... through emergency C-Section.
4 Lbs 3 Oz... 17.5 Inches
He's a little-big-guy... with a crazy birth story. I think I heard everything you NEVER want to hear in an operating room all in one pop... starting with the anesthesiologist greeting me using the wrong name and the wrong operation... down to hearing, "Hey, we're ready to cut. Is she out yet?" from the other side of the blue curtain while I was still awake.
Fun times.
I'm faring pretty well for being sawn in half by a terrible magician. I mean.. typically they pull a rabbit out of a HAT. This one really put on a magic show! Even better-- I finally have ankles and a neck again. The swelling has gone down. I'm hoping my blood pressure went down with it.

What a beautiful baby!
I have had three caesareans, and the first two were emergencies, so I can truly empathize. The worst way to have a baby, as far as the birth experience goes, but what a grand prize when it's all over! Now you can enjoy being a mom!
Happy one-month birthday to your little big guy!

Congratulations Jadewik! Another future happy haunter.
I'm just glad you didn't have the C-sec during a zombie apocalypse and have to be shot in the head by your son. Those of you who watch the show know what I'm talking about.
