Yeah, I know it, too, but I no longer qualify as one of the "younger" people!

Nevermore, your link didn't tell me anything. It showed an AP map of the US, but no info re beaches. You are in Southern CA, right? Is it a beach out there?

I've been to beaches on the West Coast, the East Coast, and the Gulf in my lifetime, and I have enjoyed all of them. I am partial to Gulf Shores, AL, though, just because I've been there most often, and I have happy associations with it. Being a native of Mississippi and living in middle TN, the Third Coast is my beach "home."

Here's another link Murf...

Coronado Beach, where the world famous Hotel del Coronado stands. A friend of mine rented one of the cottages for Memorial weekend and I'm gonna go hang out there on Monday. The cottages are to the left of the hotel.

You should hangout in the rotunda and see if you can catch a glimpse of one of the ghosts.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

I am just curious what you are doing in Grand Haven? i am in Wyoming is a small city near Grand Rapids. Which is not that far from Grand Haven. I grew up in Jenison, and Grand Haven was a place I used to go to quite often. You did what everybody does there, walk the pier.

Already did that...

Though the ghost was more a figment of my shopping skills than a reality.

Ah, Coronado Beach! I have seen it from a distance. I have relatives in Southern Cal, and many years ago one of my cousins drove me down to San Diego for the day. We were on some kind of biology field trip (she was taking a college class), so our time was scheduled. We were looking at flora and fauna, saw the famous hotel only from a distance. Beautiful area, though.

Let me guess Murf, this is where you were when you saw the beach...

That view, and the view of L.A. from Mulholland Drive are the best views of California's two largest cities. I love going up to Cabrillo.

Hope your meal was delicious, and your evening as fun as it sounds!

Do you have a pool at your house?
