I'm just wondering if anyone on here is interested in JFK?

Also in different polls conducted over the years, a huge percentage of Americans (& people worldwide also) believe that there was a cover-up in regards to his assassination. Are any of you part of that group?

I'm English but am interested in both him as a person & leader & also in his assassination. I own a number of books on him. I'm also a collector of JFK Memorabilia. Coins, magazines old newspapers ect.

I've been to his grave in Washington DC. I am also desperate to go to Dallas & The JFK Presidential Library in Boston.

I personally believe that not just the USA but also the world was robbed of a leader who could of changed so much & bought a lot of peace to the world.

I've had a passing interest in JFK's assassination.

I've been to the assassination location and stood on the grassy knoll. There is a lot of bird poo on the sidewalk... I was young then and my 'rents didn't want to pay to go into the book depository and I believe we didn't bring the camera... so I don't have any photos.

I've also been to the grave in DC-- the day JFK's son disappeared -- Monday July 19, 1999.

I have a copy of the condensed Warren Commission... haven't read it yet, though.

Last I'd heard, someone used modern forensics in conjunction with the Zapruder film and concluded that the trajectory of the bullets did, in fact, come from the Book Depository window. That, yes, someone with training similar to Lee Harvey Oswald's training, could indeed fire bullets that quickly and that they could cause the damage inflicted on persons in the President's vehicle.

I don't think there is a conspiracy... or, if there is, I don't think it is as involved as some conspiracy theorists believe. I don't know why Kennedy was shot-- though I have read articles suspecting it had something to do with the banking system and the national debt. Though, I do wonder if Bobby Kennedy's assassination had anything to do with his elder brother's death.... perhaps there's a conspiracy there?

... I don't think Kennedy would have been a great President, but I don't think he'd have been as terrible as Carter was.

The FBI has some information on the Kennedys in their archive of documents released per the Freedom of Information Act. You can read some of that here:
http://vault.fbi.gov/John%20F.%20Kennedy%20Jr.

Also, the Airforce One airplane for JFK and LBJ happens to be located, currently, at the Pima Air and Space Museum. It's quite neat to see-- they have it all opened, so you can even walk inside and see what sort of toys they had, where Jackie sat as LBJ was sworn into office.... and you can take a cheezy photo of yourself pretending to disembark the plane... not that I've done that or anything... =)

Thanks for your reply.

I've always believed that Oswald wasn't as innocent as he made out before he was killed. I believe he was part of the plan.

I do believe though that there was more than one shooter, so therefor a conspiracy.

I also do not believe the magic bullet theory.

Thanks for that link, i've read some of the FBI's material before & it is interesting. Again thanks for your reply. :)

Jack, my uncle was a close friend of JFK's and either committed suicide or was murdered ten days after the assassination. My cousin Lee, his son, is currently shopping a prospectus for a screenplay on this subject. You might be interested to read about it here:

http://leestockdale.com/askNot.html

I was 8 yrs old when JFK (and my uncle) died, so I am not personally knowledgeable about this stuff, nor have I made a special study of it in adulthood. I know that my cousins have always suspected their father was murdered, though suicide was the official story. I did not know until I read this prospectus that their family had been terrorized after their father's death. My own parents were Republican and had not voted for JFK for President.

(If you bother to read my cousin's story, I would like to say something in defense of our grandmother. He makes it sound as if she abandoned her teenaged son in Mississippi and took her younger children home to Alabama, a neighboring state, when her husband died. What he does not say is that she left her son with his two older brothers, one of whom was my father. My dad was already a lawyer and, I think, married to his first wife (not my mother) at that time. So she didn't just leave her young son to fend for himself, as Lee makes it sound. I suppose my teenaged uncle did experience her departure as a type of abandonment, however.)
