Best Sound Effects Generator Yet!

This years yard haunt - I know right - can't wait! Looking forward to making the entire yard a neighborhood haunted house. It has become expected of us. We do one every year and the worst part is finding sound effects that are random enough to sound real... It's all about the sound. For years we tried CD's, MP3's, old records! But in the end - you never get a loop that does NOT sounds like a loop. So every year - the same thing... Loops and loops.

I finally found an app for my Android phone works well and for 99 cents - can't beat it (I think a Taco Bell Bean Burrito is more)! So this year - it's plug in a speaker to my Droid and poof! Instant Spook! Just set it up and let it run.

It's called 'Halloween Screamy' on the Android Market and it also offers a free demo version to try out too. But for 99 cents the full version is exactly what we need this year! =) Less than a bag of plastic skellys at Party City!

Oh yeah, we're expanding out to the forest behind the house this year - wonder if we'll need waiver or something to cover safety - never know these days.

Def. Will post them after the build.

I plan to take off Thursday so we can run it Fri, Sat, Sun.

Did you happen to see my last sentence. As we grow larger and larger each year (from a humble porch spook) - do any of you use safety or liability waivers? Like a sign-off sheet or something?

Would hate to get sued - ROFL.

Andybev01, looks like the developer of that Android app I recommended above - Halloween Screamy - added a new sound effects page to the app (which I guess was needed as you couldn't just choose random sounds to play one at a time), so now you can just click the various sounds like a sound board in addition to the other stuff.

Works for me, but I would have been fine with just the sound machine part as I just plan to have it running all night. Had a friend over and with his phone (same app) we thought to put two different speakers in two areas (volume set to contain sound in just that area). That way since the app allows toggle of different types of sounds, we'll just have them both running all night and never have to adjust. Wind and Ghosts in one area, screams and chains etc in another.

How were you planning to use it?
