Nonsense LawP, there is no such thing as a bad poem on this site. :D I'll bet your poems are a lot better than you think. Share one if you're feeling creative. I know I created this thread, but I don't think I can write all the poems myself until October 31st.

Oh wow, this is a great thread, I just started checking it out...hmmm, y'all have already shown me up bad against what my poetic abilities might produce, but I'll give it a shot- gotta think on this a bit.

The leaves of brown came tumblin' down, remember?
In September in the rain
The sun went out just like a dying ember
That September in the rain.
To ev'ry word of love I heard you whisper
The raindrops seemed to play a sweet refrain.

I like that one Cadaverino. Where do you find them? Are you a fan of poetry and keep your own collection?

The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold.
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold.

Since you went away, the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Lyrics by Johnny Mercer

Skeletons in my closet
skeletons under my bed
Whispering in my ear
"It's no fun being dead"

Bones rattling down the hallway
bones rattling over my head
The bones call out night and day
"It's no fun being dead"

I am the soft whisper in your ear
I am the cold chill that dances forever along your spine
I am the hurried heartbeat that thumps within your chest
I am the shadow that plays tricks with your eye
I am the tingling sensation that slides softly over your skin
I am the frozen quivering muscle that refuses to move
I am the silent scream of horror that will never leave your lips
I am the very darkness that envelopes you from within
I am the Spirit of Halloween

I was feeling very excited this morning and whipped this up
hope its ok...
Wild Winds thou shalt blow
carry away my saddened soul
tis the time of Judgement

September wind blowing this dry desert air
Tatrantuals by your ankles, bats by your hair
Tumbleweeds are rolling all around
dry bones with six shooters ready to take you down

Ghosts in the alley, ghosts in the street
Dried up zombies in dusty saloons ready to greet
In the daylight Phoenix is a sprawling city, but when the light comes down
You'll find yourself screaming in a crazy ghost town
The dark night beckons. Bear us your soul, it whispers. Expose your wicked delights. Join the rest of us on the wind. The dark night beckons and we answer. Sailing into the shadows.
