Yes, I like your thinking, Mike. Right now, I still have my "patriotic" door decoration, which I'll leave up through this weekend, for sure. But I am not sure what to put up after that, because my Halloween door decoration, with three little ghosts saying "Happy Haunting," seems a bit premature in early September. They go up around Oct. 1. Maybe I'll just leave my heart-shaped flag up until time for the ghosties.
Autumn is, hands down, my favorite season of the year. I love everything about it, and Halloween is the pinnacle of the fall for me. But I also have a nice turkey door decoration I put up in November. My Christmas decorations generally go up Thanksgiving weekend.
Unlike some folks here, I really do love Christmas, too. It's just that, for me, holiday season starts around October 1. The general public seems to think of the holidays as being from Thanksgiving through New Year's.
