The Halloween collectibles thread
Welcome to the Halloween collectibles thread. This is where you can post about your Halloween merchandise, it could be something you have had for years or a recent purchase, or something you got from a store or made yourself. Some suggestions are decorations, costumes, movie memorabilia, toys, books, records, old advertisements, restaurant promotional items, trick-or-treat pails, Halloween themed candy wrappers and packaging, life sized props, arts and crafts, and any other Halloween related merchandise you have. So please post here to show us your favorite Halloween stuff.
I'm going to start with my vintage Halloween and Peanuts pinbacks/buttons, they are from 1968 and were made by a company called Funco. The button that says Snoopy lives is the only modern piece in the group, I included it because it goes well with the others, but the rest of them are vintage buttons. They are over 50 years old and some of them are in rough shape, but I'm always looking to upgrade them, so if you have any or ever come across them please don't hesitate to contact me.

I know what you mean, I couldn't even tell you how many Peanuts collectibles I have, most of it is Great Pumpkin and Halloween stuff. I'm even wearing a Snoopy Halloween shirt right now while typing this.

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread
My mother recently asked me to dig out a particular record for her and when I was going through them I came across a few Halloween related records so I thought I would post them here. I have about 20 Halloween records in my collection, and I'll post the others when I get around to them. I had to shoot the pictures at a angle because the flash was bouncing on the jackets. If anyone wants to view the larger pictures just right click on it and open in a new tab.
These two records are from the 70s, they both have Halloween sound effects and stories and were great to listen to when I was a kid. I absolutely love the artwork on the jackets, they just don't put that effort into designing things these days.
Freddy's Greatest Hits - This is one of my favorite records from my childhood, it is not particularly good in any way, but it is full of 80s cheesy goodness that is just fun. It came out in 1987 and my mother played this record for Halloween parties every year until 1997 and that was the last time I heard it. The record used to go for some high prices but has come down in recent years. There are actually a few different versions available, this is the normal release, and there are 2 different colored vinyl versions, I have every version but my colored vinyl records are sealed and I probably won't ever open them.

I just got some new Halloween Snoopy shirts that I'll probably be wearing for the rest of the month. The shirt with Snoopy shooting the zombie Peanuts kids is awesome!

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread
I have never seen those shirts or the records you pictured in the post above.
Someone in my neighborhood has decorated his yard with four massive cut-outs recalling 60s tv. There are Kermit the frog, Snoopy atop the Great Pumpkin, Herman Munster, and the Scooby-Doo gang in their Mystery Machine.

That yard sounds awesome. The shirts I got on ebay. Originally I posted the Halloween records because Mike and I were talking about our love for records, but then he didn't come back. So hopefully he is doing well. I still have some more Halloween records that I was going to post, but that was a year ago and I already packed them away.

I miss Mike, too. I also hope he's OK. He does love his records.

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread
The records have been back in the basement since last Dec. and they are going to stay there for now, but I can still show some of the records that I have because I found pictures of them online. I have the same records in the pictures below, but it's easier to use these pictures as it was hard to get clear pictures of my records because the flash bounces on the jackets.

Re: The Halloween collectibles thread
There are more posts above this.
While I usually only collect older records, sometimes I will get modern records like these 3 because they were so awesome that I had to buy them. The last record is based on the WNUF Halloween Special from 2013, if you're unfamiliar with it then it would be hard for me to explain it to you, but it's filled with 80s goodness. It's not for everyone, and a lot of people really don't get it, but if you're a fan, then you're a fan.
