I couldn't eat 42 pounds of candy on my best day. Besides, I don't think my little town has 12 square miles, let alone 42. But a lot of Trick or Treat ers do use pillow cases.

Thats an interesting expirement, but not very relevant to me, the only time candy ends up in my pillow case is when i eat to much of it end go to bed with an upset stomach :D

You have to let Mac use a new pillowcase or he'll just throw it all away.

Believe it or not, in my town, paper grocery bags with Halloween pictures drawn on them are commonly used, too. In fact, I think those are the most commonly used after pillow cases. The smalles percentage use regular "Trick or Treat" bags or plastic pumpkins that you buy at the store.

A lot of kids in my neighborhood still use the plastic pumpkins, which i think is pretty neat because they've stuck around for so long. i can remember using the pumpkins in my trick or treating prime.

Those plastic pumpkins were around even back in my day. All of my nieces and nephews had them. A lot of the kids in the neighborhood also had them as far back as the mid 60s, when I was Trick or Treat ing. I think they're neat, but I allways prefered and used a bag.

I'd have said a pillowcase can hold enough candy to put you in sugar shock or a nice sugar coma for several days.

Interesting hypothesis, though.
