I think any holiday that doesnt keep kids out of school should be taken off the calendar so I would know if I had to get up early or not.

What about Leif Erickson Day?
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.

So if I'm hearing him correctly, Spooky wants Halloween "stricken" from the calendar.

Boo, Spooky. Boooo. :x

Who says you can't let your kids stay home for Columbus Day? Don't know why you'd want them to, but....

the only advantage to the kids staying home ANY day is I get to sleep in.

You could always dump them off, then go back to bed. Or make them get a ride.

Walk them into the school in your pajamas and fuzzy bunny slippers. Guarantee you they'll find some other way to get to school.

I dont think that would bother them at this point, they would probably even argue with why they cant do it too

Under the cold, cruel, gun-toting veneer of every conservative lies the secret desire to cross-dress.

actually, that would defeat the purpose, the goal is to just stay in bed and not get up at all, going back to bed isnt really all that good, I mean, I'm already up and the sleep is broken..... :(
