Birthmark Art

Post by Ciuin » Sun Jul 10, 2011 9:37 pm

It's nearly universally agreed that birthmarks are unattractive. Particularly anything larger than a quarter. My family happens to be plagued with
such birthmarks. We all have matching birthmarks on the backs of our necks, a pale reddish mark, just at the edge of our hairline. My brother, my
daughter, and I, also have a 2nd birthmark.

Mine is on the outside of my right arm, a few inches from my wrist (pictured below). I generally forget about it until someone says "You've got a
little dirt there.".

What can make birthmarks even more unattractive though, is incorporating them into a tattoo.

So, I was thinking, if I were to do something wicked foolish, like turn my birthmark into a tattoo, what awesome design would I choose?

Here is the birthmark in it's present form: (sorry if it stretches the page)

Looks a little washed out, haven't gotten much sun recently.

But what if it looked like this!:

Who took a bite? Santa? A zombie? There are an endless number of stories I could create with this.

Now, I'm sure I could have the tattooist smooth out some of the details of my MSPaint rendition, but I've gotten the point across.

I would love to see some of your ideas of the hideous things I could do with my birthmark, which is why I included such a large original image.

Please enjoy.

Yeah, but I thought about posting this while I was at work, so I feel like I might not regret it tomorrow.

So what's your suggestion?

I only have moleskin on my face, arms, legs, back, chest.... just natural. Just like Robert DeNiro has moles! :)
