yes, iHaunt you should get your own place! You would have your privacy, that is very important! I have lived with my friend for a year now, trying to get on my feet with a few (alot) of slips along the way. I love my friend, she helped me thru alot of bad times but now is the time to go, I'm still healing and that will take more time but in the end it will be better for us both. I own a cleaning business but it's not doing as well I like right now so I applied at many places and finally have another interview today.I will be working at a normal job in addition to cleaning, I need the money so I have to do what I have to to make good things happen, it is all up to me! I put down my deposit for my own apartment last week and will be moving in on my birthday! What a gift! I'm so thankful for the things that I do have so I try not to think about the things I don't because eventually I will have them.

There's nothing like having your own place. I realize there are a few disadvantages. Lonliness is one of them. Nobody around to help with the cleaning and yard work is another, but all in all, I'm happy with my life. If I were to meet "Miss Right" at some point, then that's one thing, but for now, the 1st person singular is 'where it's at.'

you know.......I felt that way too before I met my wife, I really hated my life because I was lonely, I had people to hang out with but it was lonely at home....now I've been married for 14yrs and have 4 kids, three living at home still. My wife took the kids out to California for a week and I am here all alone right now and I have to say I am loving the piece and quiet!

No worries.... Because when my grandpa die anytime.... then I will own my own this house, and my family will go away! :D My grandpa did tell them to treat me like the President of the USA, and they said okay. They still called me The Dictator! WTF???

I hope your grandpa has made a will and taken the legal steps he needs to do to insure that the house comes to you, if that is indeed his wish, iHaunt. Inheritance battles can be--well, pretty bad.

As for the issue of loneliness or company--it seems there is often feast or famine. I was an only child who lived alone for six years prior to my marriage. Now I have a husband and three kids, one of whom is grown. On the whole, I wouldn't give anything for my family. It was the right choice for me. But I do recall how beleaguered I often felt when the kids were little, and I couldn't even go to the bathroom without being badgered for some request. Even now, if I show my face in a room, someone will be asking me for something, like a glass of milk or a snack.

I used to love to travel, but I haven't done much of it in recent years due to lack of money (there is always some pressing need, braces for kids' teeth, or payment for a school trip, or a car repair, etc.). Also, my husband wasn't raised to take vacations and doesn't understand why I want one. His idea of a vacation is staying home and sleeping late. So there is that issue with marriage--you have to compromise on the way you spend money, and take other people's desires into account. I would say there is no perfect way to spend your life. Everything is a compromise of some sort. I know that if I had never married, I would have a career now, and I might be better off financially. At least, I would have spent my money or saved it in exactly the way I chose. But I would also have been quite alone at this point in my life, and that wouldn't have been so good for me.

I agree Mike, the loneliness is going to get to me. I'm actually afraid of being alone but I have to do it. It's going to be weird, I'm going to have to have the tv running all the time just so I have SOME noise so I won't go completely insane! LOL

The lonlieness is a problem at times, but for the most part, I am in the life I am most suited for, and I do have my religion. The dead of winter is the worst time for that, however. Those two post-Christmas Winter months of January and February is when I get the most depressed. Not nearly as bad as it was when I was a kid, but it's very important fo rme to have something to get involved induring that time of the year.

My grandpa always keeps delaying the time for my mother, stepfather and stepbrother to leave here so I decided to give up and show them my guns in my own drawers in my bedroom! Well they will leave my home in October or November! :D I told them not to f**k around my house and my grandpa's things, u know? Also, not to take an advantage of his properties period! They said ok then they will pack some of their stuffs to put into the storage before leaving here. ;)

Wow, you more or less threatened them to get them to leave? And your grandpa is OK with that, I guess? He sees them as mooching off him, but you as a helper, I suppose?

iHaunt, I hope you would never really consider using those guns on any member of your family. That would ruin your life as well as everyone else's.
