I'm jobless
I am really frustrated. I know I can do it, but I don't know WHAT to do. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated... I'm just really lost here. I don't want get rich, but if I can just bring in a little something to ease the stress of paying bills, I'd be a lot happier.

Re: I'm jobless
My partner and I got fired for drinking at the cemetery! We thought we were working together, but NO ONE else there!! Some people told our boss they saw us drinking in the car near the mausoleum. Oh well.... we had a few beers plus a bottle of MD 20/20 wine. So I guess I have to work at the bar, like strippers club or I have to try my best to find awesome haunt house to work there!

I don't know what to tell you in regards to finding a job, but I do know that there's not one employer that I know of who would tolerate any ammount of drinking on the job. Even when I go to various functions where wine is ocassionaly served, I'm there as working photographer. I'm allowed to partake of the food that's served, but I BETTER NOT go anywhere's near the wine. I'm there as working photographer.
iHaunt, what's your highest level of education. In today's job market, most employers are seeking college educated employees. A Bachelors Degree from a college today carries about as much weight at a high school diploma carried back in the 60s and 70s. You really need at least an associates degree just to get a foot in the door. The problem is, an associates degree is a miniumo 2 year program, so I don't know what you can do in the mean time. The only short term solution I can think of is a fast food restaurant or one of those large "box" stores like Wal-Mart of Sam's Club.
In the long term, nursing jobs are plentiful right now. It's one of the few occupations that are actualy begging for qualified applicants. Again, you are going to need a MINIMUM of 2 years as a full time college student in order to qualify. There are other jobs in health care that pay great.
Mean while, when you apply for a job, there are litteraly thousands of other applicants competing for that very same job, because of all the internet applications and resumes that are being e-mailed. I'm afraid the news is rather grim, as far as the odds against you.
Finaly, I strongly reccomend that you totaly and completely forget about drinking and alcohol, especialy if you are on the job in the future. If you do go to college, make plenty of friends and good contacts. Carry only the best grades possible, and if you can, be THE student who everyone asks for help with their work. Stay away from all forms of substance abuse, and only use past employment references that don't have black marks against you. Your ex boss at the cemetery, for instance, is no reference for you any more. Do you have other bosses in your past who you can ask for a reference?

I think I would rather have Obama, and he is the worst president in our history....

Obama is no good.... next year, he will be out of office! We have to wait and see who's the next President of the USA for 2012.

Re: I'm jobless
Speaking of presidents, the president of the college where I work died this morning of cancer. I'm a little worried about my job, as when ever there's a change in the higher level administration, heads allways roll, and back in 2006 mine was almost one of them.
For those of you who do pray to God, please remember me in your prayers. Remember our late president in your prayers, too while you're at it.

We are a republic. Democracy leads to problems. If you mean the republican or democrat parties. Well then neither, I only vote for conservatives.iHaunt wrote:For the President of the USA.... which one do u prefer? Democracy or Republic?

Re: I'm jobless
As much as it pains me to say this, Ihaunt is correct to a point. What Iraq had with Saddam Hussein was a democracy. Sure the citizens could vote, but they had better vote for the right candidate, meaning Saddam. If not, they could wind up dead. Same thing in Cuba and Venezuela[. Pure democracy leads to dictatorships./color]
