New Hampshire Haunted Fun

Post by ugot1ucky » Mon Aug 22, 2011 4:03 pm

North Conway, NH- Cranmore Mountain is bringing fear to those brave enough to attend The Ghoullog starting September 30, 2011. Mountain top haunts operate from 7 to 10 p.m., with each haunt approximately one hour long.

The Ghoullog is the only Halloween event in the nation featuring a chairlift ride to a haunted house at the summit of a mountain. Cranmore’s 2,000 foot summit is located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and offers visitors breathtaking night-time views of the Moats, Mount Washington and the village of North Conway, NH.

New for the Ghoullog this year is the addition of new rides and attractions; and ticket offers. Cranmore’s Mountain Coaster will receive a Halloween-themed face lift as they offer “Haunted Coaster Rides” to take place during Ghoullog dates. The Coaster is a roller-coaster like ride that takes visitors on a 3,600 foot round trip ride up and down the mountain in a 2-person sled mounted on a steel track. Cranmore’s new Giant Swing, which gives 4 people a breath-taking sky-ride, will also operate at night for the event.

Ghoullog fans seeking the ultimate experience will want to sign up for the new “RIP” Ticket, which gives them two trips through the Ghoullog, a ride each on the Coaster and Swing, plus an exclusive “RIP” lounge with a private themed sitting area. The RIP Ticket is ideal for large groups and corporate outings.

Tickets for admission to The Ghoullog are $25 at the door or $23 online. A Ghoullog Plus package includes one admission ticket, one giant swing ride and one mountain coaster ride for $39 at the door or $37 online. The Ghoullog RIP ticket offers up to two Ghoullog tours plus one giant swing ride, one mountain coaster ride and RIP lounge access for $59 at the door or $57 online. Also giant swing rides and mountain coaster rides are available for $10 each.

Additionally, residents of Carroll and Coos County in New Hampshire or Oxford County in Maine are entitled to a $21 “locals” rate on September 30.

The Ghoullog also has a full array of fall food favorites like fried dough and more in the Legends Grill. Additionally, the Ghoullog will open the Bloody Noose Pub, a fully-licensed facility serving up Tuckerman Ale and other libations.

The Ghoullog will take place on weekends from September 30 until October 29. For a full list of dates and times and for more information about The Ghoullog visit www.theghoullog.com.

That does sound like a unique and fun haunted attraction, although I am a fraidy cat when it comes to roller coasters!
