I love 'Corpse Bride.' I watch it every Halloween.

My wife & I finally got around to watching the original 'Fright Night' last night. I hadn't seen it for years!

I love Corpse Bride! I had to buy the Nightmare Before Christmas over the weekend because I learned that my wee niece has yet to see it! Unacceptable. I'm going to fetch her one day this week so that she and I can have pizza and movie night 8)

Wow, that sounds really cool, I'd love to watch Dracula in a theater.

Possibly the original Scream tonight... or if I can handle it, The Exorcist... never seen before and everyone keeps telling me its too scary. lol

'Scream' rocks! I love that film. I remember watching it for the first time when it came out to rent on VHS, I was 11! Great movie! :D

Scream is good. A clever, self-aware horror film.

Most people do find The Exorcist to be the scariest movie ever made. I think it is very good, but I prefer The Exorcism of Emily Rose.

The Exorcist is pretty rough. I saw it when I was like 11 or 12 though and I didn't really know what I was getting into. Saw it several years later when they re-released it in the theater with the deleted scenes added back in--it still scared me. However, I do think this could one of those movies where you hear so much about it and it gets built up, that when you actually do see it, it doesn't terrify you as much as it should. That said, good luck to you because it is still the grand-daddy of horror films

The Exorcist is very rough, especially for an 11 or 12 yr old. I still haven't let my 14-yr-old daughter see it. The girl is about 11 or 12, and she uses very vulgar language when she is possessed, as well as very explicit, shocking sexual gestures. That said, it is pretty creepy, too.

I was an older teen when that movie first came out, and I recall that there was a great deal of discussion about whether or not it was appropriate to cast a child that age in a film like that.

Wasn't Linda Blair like 16 or 17 though when she was cast in that movie? She was very baby-faced at the time so I believed it. A little tall as I recall, but very baby-faced :)

I think one of the weekend days we will have to have a Masters of Horror marathon. Got all the eppys on my DVR.

No, she was much younger than that. A quick Google search indicates that she was born in January of 1959. The Exorcist was released in 1973, but filmed somewhat earlier, of course. One source says she was 13 at filming, which is probably right, and still a little older than I had thought she actually was. But still a middle school kid.

I was 18 in '73, and I was always aware that Linda Blair was several years younger than I was. Four or five years younger is about right. That film was highly controversial because of her young age.

I'll be watching 'Sleepy Hollow,' the original 'Halloween,' 'The Lost Boys,' possibly others depending on how much time I have! :)

Pizza and Nightmare happened last night and she LOVED it! She was singing This is Halloween all night and clapping and screaming 'yay!' during the movie. I showed her the link of the This is Halloween light show that Murf posted earlier and she had a blast with that! When it was over she gave it a round of applause and said 'bravo'!
