Exactly! I was very annoyed when our friends told us this!Murfreesboro wrote:Oh, that's silly. Maybe they ran out of candy. The appropriate thing to do then is to turn out the light. Or maybe just tell folks, Sorry, we ran out.
As they did me too!Pumpkin56 wrote:That's a good rule. I'd like to make it mandatory for EVERYONE to haunt their yard and pass out candy, but that might be a little extreme. The Halloween Grinches really irritated me this year.
I'll have my work cut out for me because I'm surrounded by Halloween GrinchesJack Skellington wrote:As they did me too!Pumpkin56 wrote:That's a good rule. Me too! My next door neighbour gives out candy, but everyone else in my street are Halloween Grinches!Pumpkin56 wrote:I'll have my work cut out for me because I'm surrounded by Halloween GrinchesJack Skellington wrote:As they did me too!Pumpkin56 wrote:That's a good rule. Only in my street Murf. In other streets around my area there are plenty of people that take part. For instance my son went out into the street just around the corner & came home with a bag full!Murfreesboro wrote:You mean most of your neighbors don't even give out candy? Wow, I guess TOT really is still pretty new over there.
There are certainly some dark houses on every street here. Some people don't like the holiday, or perhaps they have other plans and just aren't home that night. But there are always plenty that do participate.
I take it their house & yard is covered in Halloween decorations & lights then?Murfreesboro wrote:Ah, well, that happens here, too. The best street in our neighborhood is the one about two blocks down from our house and around the corner.
