We had mild weather for both Christmas & New Year's weekends, which was nice if we couldn't have the classic "white Christmas" (we rarely do, anyway). However, it got really cold yesterday, and is 20 degrees outside as I type this morning (at 7:45).
Summertime tornadoes are very rare in the South, but we can have them almost any other time of year. Spring is the worst. Since our winter has been above-average in temperature so far, I'm hoping that our transition to spring won't be so stormy this year.

Re: This Is Sacrilege!
I feel like winter is coming around here. It's about 38 right now. There will be a few days where it will get up into the 60's but for the most part, it will stay in the 40-50 range. January and February are typically the coldest months in North Texas, so I'm bracing myself

We had a nice little snow dusting yesterday, just on time to take down Christmas for the year, and it was about 14 degrees when I got in the car to go to work this morning.
