Ahh SpookyBK, just be glad you don't have my life. When one door closes it usually hits me in the face and breaks my nose, but I keep kicking down other doors. Look at the good things, you have a baby coming! Possibly a future President or Presidentess of the United States of North America (I still think we're gonna absorb Canada). There's still work out there for people who really want it. You may not be able to give the baby a golden rattle, but a regular one will do.

Sorry to hear about your job. I lost mine at the end of April, after 16 years.

You could go this route for the rattle and it includes a bib.

SpookyBK, I'm in the same boat. Best job I ever had ended after 10 years at the end of last March. It sucks, but things always work out. I didn't believe that at first but now am starting to.

It looks like I'll be moving out from my parents place soon!
Sad part is paying bills and rent I dunno how much money I'll have for Halloween.

You do realize that may be stock left over from last year? I am willing to bet that shortly after school starts, they will put out more stock for this year. Big Lots does that as I am sure most stores like this do.

Oh great! And now we have no water, and we're under a flex alert because of the heat. I was just about to go out back and repair the sewer line and I find out the guys working in the alley must have broke a water line. So when I'm done getting sewage all over me I can't even take a shower, and I can't play on the computer while I wait for them to fix it because the power may go out. Maybe I'll just go to a bar and have a beer.

That sounds like it would be better in his situation.

Struth!!!!

The water just came back on about 5 minutes ago. The guy from the water department finally showed up about an hour ago. I called at noon, and so did a lot of other people. Worst part was I knew what was wrong and he wouldn't even listen to me. Took him an hour to get around to what I told him right away.

The guys working in the alley brainfarted and turned off the wrong valve on the fire hydrant that's supplying the temporary water. I figured this out as soon as I stepped on the water hose and felt it give. I would have turned it on myself but with my luck? A cop would have drove past right then and thought I was turning it off. Plus I wasn't sure if the workers broke a pipe and turned it off on purpose then forgot to tell their supervisor about it.

Sundays make me sad.
All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,
As I am now so you must be,
Prepare for death & follow me.
