Done enough!

Post by NeverMore » Sat May 25, 2013 3:25 am

Pretty much done setting up my workstation at the new house. Still have a little wiring to do on the speakers and power supplies. Decided to set it up in the livingroom because otherwise I wouldn't have had enough furniture to fill the room. Stupid flood!

Also, this way I have a direct line-of-sight to the primary TV... for when I get around to hooking it up to the internet. Probably going to build my own home theater PC so I can stream video to it.

My roommate... uhh, ex-roommate... got the desk for free and gave it to me. After a little refurbishing it looks like new. I made some brackets to hang the CPU and power backup off the side, so I don't have to move them when I need to vacuum the carpet. That dang CPU is heavy! Has seven hard drives in it. Also made a bracket to hang the subwoofer, underneath the desk. Had to learn how to weld to do all this.

Finally got my monitors and sound system back. Wahoo!

Stoopid flood.

Hopefully, as time goes by, I'll get some more Halloweeny stuff incorporated into the decor. You can see Skully, from the Wish List thread, there by my beer. I currently have a thumbdrive plugged into him.

Hmmm.... speaking of beer.

I can't find my Sam figurine, from last year's pumpkin thread, otherwise he'd probably be peeking at y'all from behind one of the monitors or something.

Well... this project is pretty much done. Time to move on to the next one. Unfortunately not Halloween related. Have to build a shed... out of pallets.

Maybe she got sick of him.

Nice!! I love the look (so far)!

Aside from the skull USB adaptor-thingie... I am also jealous of the cleanliness of your desk. I'd post a pic of my desk at home, but it would be embarrassing.

Instead of that, I'll share with you this photo (from a few years back) of what we did to a co-worker's desk when he was away on vacation for 3 weeks. (I should also add that he HATES McDonald's.)
