I committed a mortal sin tonight. I didn't get to eat lunch today, so on the way home, I stopped at Waffle House and got two fried egg sandwiches. Looks like I'm sleeping on the couch tonight. Me and the parrot. This faux pas along with buying a new sniper rifle that the ball and chain says I didn't need, guarantees I might be here for awhile. When she finds out how much the scope is that I ordered to put on the rifle costs, I might be sleeping in the garage. :eye: :eye: :eye:

Maybe if I tell her I bought it for the upcoming zombie apocalypse....... Naa, she won't fall for that either.

In Tennessee you could tell her that you bought it to patrol the military recruitment stations. That's what's happening here. Groups of four and five people, civilians, are bringing their rifles and whatever else they have and standing in front of those stations. They are saying they will not leave until the military personnel inside are allowed to carry weapons again.

And good for them. I have heard things are heating up in TN. And I don't mean because of the weather.

My husband and I don't even watch national news anymore, but the "gun-free zone" sign on that bullet-riddled glass door of the recruitment station? Nobody in Tennessee is forgetting that. This is major, major news around here. It was actually one of the first questions a local reporter asked the FBI rep when he came to TN last Thursday.

Gun Free Zone. What a joke....

I'm a criminal who has no intention of following the law and like all criminals I look for the weak and unprotected. So there I am driving around in my Escalade and looking to add to my collection of bling and I come upon a sign that says....Gun Free Zone.

Like pouring blood in a tank full of sharks. Ding-Ding-Ding! Hear that? That's the dinner bell ringing.

So I go in and rob the place. I can even kill the proprietor if I want because I know that in this city, if caught, tried and convicted, I will never have to worry about getting the death penalty or life without parole, because I can always say I was a poor kid from the mean streets and grew up without any hope. The media and special interest groups eat that up and they can always blame society for your screw ups, and get away with it.

My hatred for the media knows no bounds. How anybody can watch CNN, MSNBC or the other garbage networks and think they're getting the truth is beyond my comprehension. You have a better chance of finding Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster in your backyard than finding an objective and honest journalist.

I knew the coverage of the piece of filth who killed the Marines wouldn't last. Marines don't fall under the right group of people to feel sympathy for. Better to go out and find people that we can get more fake enraged mileage from. We can make up stuff about how they were treated, and demand money, reparations, loss of job, diversity learning and reeducation. If not then we can have our media-special interest approved lynching.

While the gutless politicians sit around and play with their fiddle.

I agree Kolchak. I watch The Blaze TV regularly. Right now they are doing a special about an Isis cell just a few miles south of the U.S. border in Mexico.

All the mass shootings I can think of in recent years have happened in gun-free zones--VA Tech, Sandy Hook, Colorado movie theater, Charleston church. If you read between the lines about the Charleston massacre, you learned that the church wasn't even Roof's first choice. His first choice of target was the College of Charleston (not an historically black school; I checked--it was founded in 1780 by Edmund Rutledge). Roof decided not to go there because the security was too tight. He chose the church because he knew there would be no guns there.

And not trusting our military, of all people, with weapons? Lunacy.

I stopped by the Great American Cookies place and got a few chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies. I wasn't going to breakdown and imbibe, but they were calling my name as I walked by. Something very similar happened when walking by Dunkin Donuts the other day. I think this might be a ghost following me, and tempting me!

You know, I think a similar ghost likes to follow me around and convince me to buy sugary sweets. I should cut down on that stuff, but you know, my birthday seemed like a good excuse to break down and get those cookies.

I never heard of the Great American Cookies place. Is that a franchise, or a local place in your area?

Man I haven't had a dunkin' donuts donut since moving here. They don't have one around here. Some stores do carry Krispy Kreme donuts though.

A friend of mine shared this chicken wing dip recipe:

I'd like to try it. Maybe I can do the pizza dip and have this as well. Pizza Dip. Wing Dip. Now that's some good party food. :)

The wing dip sounds good. I was in the gym today and managed to drop a 40 pound dumb bell on my foot. So you could say with a fair degree of accuracy that a dumb bell dropped a dumb bell on himself.

Nothing broken, but I went from a size 9 to size 12 in about ten minutes. I was more than a little angry with myself, so I went to Dairy Queen and got myself a large Heath bar Blizzard. It was just what the doctor ordered.

Actually it wasn't, but since I knew I was going to get raked over the coals by the ball and chain, I figured this would at least allow me to weather the Cuban hurricane.

Dang it! I had a dumb bell joke all loaded but you used it on yourself.

Your wife is Cuban? She must be a happy lady these days? Seeing her homeland come out of the cold. You guys might be getting a knock on the door soon. There's half a hockey team looking for a place to stay. They got hockey in Cuba!?!

PS: I just finished eating a gyros, pronounced 'YEE-ros' here.

Not really. Too many bad memories and too many bad people getting away with murder. Literally. It's a long way from being out of the cold. Despite what Obama may claim, recognizing Cuba under its current regime is just throwing acid in the faces of those who tried standing up to and fighting the murdering despot.

But like everything else politically correct these days, truth and accuracy are not allowed.
