HIPPIELUVN'S HALLOWEEN HORRORTHON 2016

Post by hippieluvn » Sat Oct 01, 2016 6:54 pm

OK, so I thought I wouldn't have time to do it again this year because of my new job...

And the reality is this: I don't have much time for this endeavor, but also can't resist...

So I'll watch what movies I can over the next month and report what's going on...

Hope you all have a happy October and Halloween season

Oh, I saw they were doing that in Nashville, too. I probably won't go, as I have it on DVD (and I'm old enough to have seen it in theaters when it was new).

The DVD special features make the point that this film was really Gene Wilder's baby. It was his idea, and he wrote the first script. Mel Brooks was brought on board because he'd had a big hit with Blazing Saddles, and the studio wanted a big name to associate with the film. It was always promoted as a Mel Brooks comedy, but it was Wilder's more than Brooks'.

I'm busy with new job and unable to watch many movies this year :(

However, I did watch the original Frankenstein (1931) earlier tonight

Last night I watched Boo! A Madea Halloween

It had a few funny jokes, but don't waste your money...

This was my first Tyler Perry movie--not too impressed...

Very silly and too many racial stereotypes for my liking :?
