Well good luck. I hope you get at least 1 or 2 jack o'lanterns in the deal. If you have a lot of squirrels and rabbits in your neck of the woods, however, you may want to look into ways to keep them away. The rabbits, especially seem to be in a 'conspiracy' to make everyone think that Peter Cottontail and Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater are the same guy( he he ) But on a serious note, those cute little bunnies seem to love pumpkin vines as much as they do carrots.

Beautiful pumpkin. And you found those at a thrift shop?? The thrift stores around here are STILL shut down for Covid 19. You have to call in advance for an appointment to browse them. Stupid if you ask me.

Most of the thrift stores around here are wide open for business.

I think retro ornaments are very big right now. I am seeing them everywhere. And, yes, our stores are wide open, thank God.

I think retro is so popular now a days, because they remind us of better times when society wasn't on the brink of collapse.

Believe it or not, I am watching reruns of "The Waltons," among all my traditional horror films.

"The Waltons" was one of the tv shows we all watched together as a family back in the day. "The Waltons," "Little House on the Prarie," "The Brady Bunch," and "Eight is Enough" are but a few family favs that I enjoyed when we all use to watch tv together as a family back in a saner time, and civilization wasn't self destructing.

S*x, drugs, rock n roll, Vietnam, Watergate, campus bombings...

The world was, is, and always will be in a state of flux, we just have access to live global news all the time via a multitude of devices, and it is designed to hold our attention, and we pay good money for it.

The next pleasant fall afternoon put on a jacket and go outside, alone or with a friend or a pet or both.

Turn off your phone (or leave it inside if you can bear to) and just sit and listen to the world.

Listen to the breeze.

Listen to traffic, or the rain if you have a covered porch.

Are there birds chirping or perhaps Canadian honkers heading south overhead?

Can you hear dogs talking to each other across the neighborhood?

Honestly, say as little as possible - make a game of it, but don't make a sound if you can help it.

Do this for an hour.

Do this all afternoon.

Report back your findings.

I do that a lot, lately Andy. I like to hang out at one of the city parks in my home town and just take in the sounds of the season.

Love the pumpkin and the lights!

I really don't have any Halloween decorations, believe it or not. I just moved into a new apartment and lost a lot of my old stuff so I'm kind of starting fresh. I have some general fall decor but I'd like to get some more pumpkins and horror themed stuff. I think the first thing I'm gonna get is a lighted Jack-o-Lantern for inside my apartment.

I know what you're talking about. 5 years ago I left California and donated five SUV loads of all kinds of holiday decorations.
