I just learned that Bewitched premiered the previous day, September 17th, 1964!

My goodness. I guess there was a lot of fantasy on tv back then. Bewitched, Jeannie, The Addams Family, The Munsters. I might even put The Wild Wild West in that category. Then of course there was Dark Shadows in the afternoon. Not as early as '64, but before the decade was out. The mid to late 60s was a time.

Don't forget Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and One Step Beyond.

Truly a remarkable period.

And across the pond, there were Dr Who and The Avengers.

I recall an early 60s anthology series, Alfred Hitchcock Presents. At least some of those were supernatural. I think I first saw The Picture of Dorian Grey on that show.

Roku streaming service has a channel that only plays The Alfred Hitchcock series'.

Samsung TV+ has channels devoted to Bewitched, Munsters, etc.

It's a Smörgåsbord of otherworldly fare.

My goodness, a whole channel devoted to the Alfred Hitchcock series? Well, maybe if they included some movies, too.

Not that I've seen, but he did have two shows.

The Alfred Hitchcock Hour and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

I didn't remember that he had two of them. I saw the one where he walked into his silhouette (IIRC), and the theme music was March of the Marionettes.

Well, it looks like I misded another good conversation.

Anyway, right now at BK they are celebrating the Addams Family, and they have some fun items on their menu like the Wednesday Whopper, and the Morticia chocolate cookie shake, they even have the crowns for kids, pictured below.

Gotta get my b*tt to BK then.

I have watched both of the recent animated movies and found them quite enjoyable.

We have those movies, and you're right, they are quite entertaining.

Maybe I'll check out BK later this month.

We liked both of the modern animated movies, but there is one version of the show that most people don't discuss, and that's The New Addams Family from the 90s.

The show only lasted for one season, and I thought it was actually very good. I'm being honest when I say that I think the girl that played Wednesday is the best actor that ever played the character, not only did she play the part well with her cold delivery of her lines, but she also had evil looking eyebrows that gave her the perfect look for the character. She hasn't acted in much since then, so most people don't remember her.

John Astin also has a guest role as Grandpapa Addams, and believe it or not, he is still alive to this day. I definitely recommend you check out a few episodes if you can, I'm sure you can find them on youtube.

By the way, on Oct. 17, to celebrate the full moon on Thursday, you can get a free Wednesday Whopper when you buy one you get one free. I don't know if the offer is available in your areas, but you can check it out.

The Addams Family menu is pictured below.

Ooo...onion rings.

One of those retro TV sub-stations has been running a truly awful, 70s Addams Family cartoon.

I had never heard of nor watched it, and from what little of it that I could stand today I didn't miss much.
