1940's Halloween Swing from the Moon-Rays!!

Post by skip » Sun Apr 27, 2008 9:10 am

The new Moon-Rays CD coming out in May is called "Swingin at the Seance" and is all remakes of classic 30's and 40's Halloween tunes buy guys like Louis Armstrong, Artie Shaw, and Glenn Miller! This could be the best Halloween party album to come out in a LONG time!!! The CD was done with traditional big band arrangements and the Moon-Rays touch! I can't wait!

I bought this album and I give it two thumbs up (if I can coun't both my own thumbs for that rating). Very well done, classy, fun. My favorite is the rendition of the "The Headless Horseman" from the Disney Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

I bought it and have listened to it constantly since last week.

I'm a big-band fan any way so this is like, the ultimate Halloween music album for me!!!

IF YOU ONLY BUY ONE HALLOWEEN CD THIS YEAR MAKE IT THIS ONE! :D

*dusts off topic*

I also bought their album 'Sinister Surf' last week. Not big band, it's surf-twang (think Ventures)

Hello there, EAB,

This one is great as well, http://www.amazon.com/Halloween-Classic ... B0013AUYNO

It has original recordings where as the Moon-Rays are covers, not that that is bad, it's just that I prefer the really old stuff.

Ask Mac. You will get to loathe, er I mean know him soon enough. :?
