Gravestones for my graveyard

What do you like to decorate with? That bucket of blood?

I totally want my own tombstone to be old school. A primitive skeleton...the works.

Well, there are some gravestones that have skulls on them. I have not seen any around where I live but I have seen photos. And I saw some rubbings in a book on gravestone rubbings. But I have not seen any that look like the skulls on my gravestones. There could be some gravestones that look like the one in the middle but I am not sure. But the one on the left looks too evil to be on a real stone but you never know what might be on a real gravestone. There is nothing evil about a gravestone but there could be some creepy looking ones out there. There are stones that look like the one on the left but with more words and without that creepy skull.

Did you notice that the one on the left is the same one on my avatar? See how creepy the skull is?

Anyways I think I might have to wait until I have a job and am old enough to drive a car. Because my dad does not seem to be up to making gravestones and driving to stores to get stuff to make them. And I can not work on them myself. But I will try anyways. But I will remember that the cemetery may not turn out like I want it too. If we do not get it done this year I might just buy a couple more stones at the store if I have enought money and make a small cemetery. But I will not tell dad this because I do not want to hurt his feelings.

But when I have enough money and can buy my own things and can drive to the store whenever I want I will make a big real looking cemetery! :D

I guess I was wrong. The skull on that gravestone on the left and in my avatar does not look that creepy after all. It could be on a real stone. But it looks a little more creepy in real life than it does in the pictures.

Oh, when I am talking about the one on the left and the one in the middle I am talking about this picture.

The skulls and skeletons are traditional tombstone images. I'm sure if you did some research RDM you could educate all of us here.

I'm not fond of the modern approach. Tombstones carved to reflect hobbies or other banal stuff.

I wouldn't want to go through eternity staring up at a race car or a golf cart carved out of granite.

I remember reading in a book about gravestones. It was a book that had pictures of gravestone rubbings and had a few photos of gravestones. I think it said that the skull means the end of life and the wings on the skull mean the flight of the soul. My gravestone does not have just that one big skull. If you look close at the picture or my avatar you can see that it has two small skulls staring at each other and one tiny one with wings. So whoever makes the Halloween gravestone decorations makes them like the real ones but makes them looks more creepy too.
