Re: Morbius Groundbreaker
The idea of a groundbreaker is not new, but I wanted one that was animated. It runs on servos for the neck, a wiper motor for the arm and a toy car motor for the jaw. It is controlled by a computer. The head is a Styrofoam wig head with a half mask glued to the front the jaw cut and attached to a stiff wire attached to the motor.

Re: Morbius Groundbreaker
That is exactly where I want to go with my yard haunt. I've been reading about wiper motor props for a couple of years, but just haven't dedicated the time yet. What you have is brilliant. The combination of motion and audio is fantastic.
Do you have any more specific information on construction?
1. What is the sub-structure made of?
2. What is the power source for the servos and wiper motor?
How do you tie in the computer?
1. Is there a specific program one needs to purchase?
2. Does the computer need to be running to operate the prop, or is there an onboard system that you pre-program and then run during prop operation?

Remember, it's never too early to start planning for Halloween.
