Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum I joined in October. I have been using the site for a couple of years but never registered. I have got a lot of good info here, and actually began building my own FCG'S (Flying Crank Ghosts) this year.

Halloween has always been my favorite holiday. Since we purchased our first house last year I have accumulated so much lighting and other halloween stuff, I can see its going to grow bigger and bigger every year.
Jack-o-lanterns are on the cutting edge.

Hello everyone. This site is alive and kicking! We love it :D
We just wanted to say hello and make a brief introduction.

The sculpting and coloring adds ultra-high realism to each hand crafted mask. SPFXMasks and RealU Masks are the haunted house choice for professionals and used in haunted houses all over the world! We're happy to be here and we look forward to making many new friends.

All you that doth my grave pass by,
As you are now so once was I,

Prepare for death & follow me.

Hello and Greetings!

Like the site -- nice to have a forum with a topic that really interests and excites me.

I have enjoyed Halloween my whole life, and have always enjoyed decorating for the holiday. From a kid in elementary school trying to stuff scarecrows and hang ghosts from strings in my parents front yard, to becoming a parent myself and going "halloween crazy" with our own home -- it's my favorite time of year.

I have been building bigger yard haunts every year since we purchased our home. A few years ago, I kicked it up a notch and built a "haunted tower" off the garage. Every year, I throw in the same elements:
1. Pumpkin Patch (I grow it myself, usually planing in April)
2. Graveyard (last year I started carving my own from 2" insulating foam)
3. Witches and Cauldron (built from scratch)
4. Haunted Tower (with JOL, black cat, etc.)
5. Witches' Apothacary in the garage (my wife decorates the shelves and tables)
6. Skeletons everywhere, doing as much as possible.
7. CiderShack (I make and hand out hot Cider on Halloween for free)

Here's a pic from last year taken a few days before Halloween (I was testing the foggers)

I hope to gain a lot of knowledge and creative ideas from all of you. I really want to continue carving my own tombstones, and I would like to learn more about animating some of my skeletons. I read a lot about wiper motor animatronics, but I haven't taken the plunge yet. Also, I have tried to build a "ground fogger" that last few years, but I haven't been successful, so pointers in that area would also be great!
Remember, it's never too early to start planning for Halloween.

Greetings!

My name is Skatha and I'm here by way of a new friend (at least I think she is) I made on another forum who happens to also be a member here. She is called Jadewik. While I am always delighted to see others who love this holiday and respect your enjoyment of it, for me it is a sacred day of the year, a start of a new year.

I look forward to many interesting reads. :)

TK421 and Skatha-

Welcome to the forum!

Skatha- Glad you could make it. I think you'll find this place a little more relaxing... and a little more "Samhain". Feel free to browse around. Have fun!

TK421-
I don't know much about motorized props (wiper motors), but I'm thinking by "ground fogger" you meant "chiller".... I've seen a few "how to's" about fog chillers.... if I can find time, I'll scrounge around and post the information.

Glad to have you both here-- and in the off-season no less! =)

To everyone else I've missed-- welcome to the forum! I'm not the best at keeping up with this thread, but I do hope you feel welcome.
