Roleplaying?

Does anyone on here ever roleplay? I'm not just talking about Dungians and Dragons, but I mean like free lance roleplay where the people make up characters, a storyline, and it works like an interactive story book where each person is in character.
I do that with my character Mau.

I used to do a little text based RPG... still do from time-to-time. (Yes, I admit... I'm a nerd.)

I have 2 characters based on the Dragon Court (DC) realm. (DC is a little java clicky game with a rather moderate following.) My characters are part of my clan, Titan. Which is the oldest and most awesome clan in the realm. (Okay, maybe not... but I did lead it for several years so I'm a little biased.)

I have a couple of character sheets for my characters. You can find 'em here:

To my understanding, G.U.R.P.S is the best generic system to apply to your own world of Role Play. I mean you can have a sci fi game, fantasy, horror, name it.

I never really got into that. I do like to take part in "never ending" stories where some one starts a sotry ane eveyone contributes to it.

We could, but I'd like a more solid plot line to follow than something just randomly happening.

The only thing solid to establish a direction is the beginning. There can't be any controling of other players additions.

I have some ideas for a Halloween.Com roleplay. It would involve everyone that's interested to create their own character...and the Roleplay would take place in a nightmarish realm that's overrun by an evil dictator.
I may post the whole RP in the Writing section.
If anyone has any ideas maybe they could post them here or PM me.
I'll probably use Mau...the idea is that each person's character...if they are playing a protagonist...is from another dimention and dragged to the Nightmare realm.
The Nightmare realm used to be more like Halloween town in Nightmare before Christmas...and it's always been a bit demented and twisted and bizarre....but now that an evil dictator has overrun it...it's become a place of true fear and death lurking everywhere.
Prior to the take over, the Realm itself was actually safe and "peaceful" if not a bit frightening to the human (or furry...or alien) eye.
Any antagonist would actually be from the Nightmare Realm. Although...if you really want you can have a protangonist from the Nightmare realm..and an antagonist that isn't.
I'll explain more details if anyone's interested, I'll wait for input first.

I'm currently a member of an online Star Trek roleplay, myself. It's a fun little site with a great community. And as for a Halloween.com roleplay, that's a good idea!

A Star Trek Roleplay eh? Sounds like fun. I'm new to star trek although I know about some of it. Wasn't there a Star Trek game with a cat race? There was an animated series that had the Kzin from the Man-Kzin wars...but as I read about the Kzin I don't really like them because of what they did to their females.
But anyway...Yeah I'd like to start a Halloween.com Roleplay. I think it'd be fun!
