"Drag me to Hell"
Hi Folks:
Hollywood actualy did it. They came out with a truely classic horror flick in every sense of the word. "Drag me to Hell" has plenty of Gypsie curses, demons, a great story line and some of the best cinematography I've seen in a long time. It was well worth the price of the ticket.
I don't wayt to say any more because I don't want to post any spoilers, but if you like a good creepy story, "Drag me to Hell" is definately a great film.

Sorry I wasn't interested seeing this movie, but my cousin Chris - Haunt master went and saw it. He told me it was poor taste. I think I need to wait for it to come out on DVD to rent it and see it myself.

It would be nice to hear from Haunt Master again. What ever happened?? I thought "Drag Me to Hell" was pretty good, and had a lot of good points.

Well, you're correct, Rising dead man. He was banned, but he will come back later.
I hope this week, perhaps...
By the way... Haunt master said that he saw it about 2 weeks ago on the weekend, can't remember either Friday or Saturday nite... and it SUCKED! The story is....well, us just uh! The acting sucks... the script sucks too... ok ok...
Total waste of money!

Well, I certainly don't see "Drag Me to Hell" as a "classic" in the major sense of the word, but I enjoyed it enough that I would like to have it in my permanant collection.

Well, what Haunt master said... Classic Raimi. It's not really worth every penny. Go see it!
He suggests for all of you to go see it after all.

Re: "Drag me to Hell"
If you're looking for a movie that's terrifiying and gross, this is definately the one to see.
I decided to post in this thread rather than making another thread about it because I saw no point in making a new thread about it.
It was apparently directed by the same director as the Evil Dead movies. You can tell it has a lot of "evil dead" moments in it.
It was actually really scary, but no where near as scary as it was gross with all the moments of spewing out green slime, and the old woman's mouth going all over the main character's.
But the demon in the story was trully terrifying, and it seemed there was nothing you could do to get rid of it.
Of course, after what the woman did to her cat, well, as a devout cat lover I couldn't pity her after the demon dragged her to hell. Not only that, but killing her poor kitty who did NOTHING didn't do any good at all. The demon even said he didn't want her cat. That poor helpless kitty, he didn't even look like he was past kittenhood yet. I loved how the black cat at the boyfriend's parents hissed at her though. That was golden. The black cat was wise, he knew what happened.
What I wondered throughout the movie was, why didn't she consult a priest or a pastor to deal with this demon? Certainly if I had to deal with a demonic presense, I would be praying and calling out to God and talking with a pastor. A psychic is the last thing I would consult for a problem like that.
But, it was a movie. I guess the moral of the story is, don't tick off or shame an old sickly woman.

This probably seems crazy, crazy, a graveyard theory,
A ghost tried to approach me and got leery.
Ask him a question and he vanished in a second...

i never got a chance to see it. my father bought it and i was supposed to get it from him
i'll have to see it for myself

Last night 'twas witching Hallowe'en
Dearest; an apple russet- brown
I pared, and thrice above my crown
Whirled the long skin; they watched in keen;
I flung it far; they laughed and cried me shame
Dearest, there lay the letter of your name!

Re: "Drag me to Hell"
I watched this tonight........what can I say........I'm glad it was a $1 rental and not a $10 theater ticket.....it was entertaining but too "roger rabbit effects" for me, goofy eye popping, vomit, bugs, lousy acting....not really very good, I give it a 4 out of ten.
