So I'm in love with this look I found on the Season of Shadows blog:

I don't exactly have the best access to real cornstalk where I live. Does anyone have any ideas about making fake stalk? Or have you seen any tricks for creating this look on a budget?
I've read about using 1/2" PVC but I just can't see that turning out very well in my mind. How would you make stalk?

I know! I emailed him for advice on making stalks but he said he buys them every year. =(
